RAFFAELLO GALIOTTO

media & public relations: AtemporaryStudio
period: 2024— ongoing
Art and design as subjects of encounter and as subjects — real, concrete — of collaboration. This is the common ground on which the dialogue between Raffaello Galiotto and AtemporaryStudio took shape, aimed at communicating the artistic research of the designer-artist in trade publications (art) or by promoting insights and focusses on the cultural pages of multidisciplinary magazines. Alongside media activities, the public relations efforts aimed at promoting the uniqueness of a language that reinterprets the concept of sculpture.
Designer and artist Raffaello Galiotto draws inspiration by the peculiarities of natural and artificial materials, exploring their expressive potential through the experimental use of technology. His studies in painting have refined his sensitivity to colour, light, space and the forms of nature, leading him to create stone sculptures using numerically controlled devices. This complex practice shapes the tools used to model natural stone. By forcing, smoothing and engraving it to such an extent that it becomes so thin that it influences the perception of light and colour, he infuses natural stone with life.
