AtemporaryStudio was the starting point for the process that led to the genesis of the Vigne Museum. A point of contact between the client, the architects and the relevant partners, the firm drew on its expertise in art and business to follow every stage of the development of the architectural project, up to its public presentation in 2014. For the past ten years, the firm has been collaborating with Elda Felluga to create the annual programme of activities, which range from public outreach events to concerts and performances of experimental and contemporary music. The firm also provides support for communication and public relations activities.

VIGNE MUSEUM Cultural Association builds on the artistic/architectural project of the same name created by architect Yona Friedman with the collaboration of artist Jean-Baptiste Decavèle in 2014 for the 100th anniversary of wine patriarch Livio Felluga.
Set amidst the historical vineyards of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, in Rosazzo, the Vigne Museum is an open-air museum dedicated to the landscape, particularly vines, understood as a symbol of collaboration between man and nature. The values underpinning the Vigne Museum can be traced back to the agricultural society of years gone by, in which people’s actions were guided by wisdom and awareness of living. The Vigne Museum combines these ancient values with extremely contemporary content and cultural inspiration.
The programme consists of a series of interdisciplinary activities that year after year have involved illustrious names from the world of art, science and culture at large.

Paesaggi Futuri at the Vigne Museum
Paesaggi Futuri involves conferences which, on an annual basis, explore important social and environmental issues. Participants over the years have included Stefano Mancuso (plant neurobiologist), Stefano Moriggi (Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan), Blaž Peršin, Giovanni Delù (art gardener and horticulturist at the Garden of Versailles), Pietro Gaglianò (art critic and curator), Liliana Moro (artist), Daniele Puppi (artist), Giuseppe Stampone (artist), Tiziana and Isabella Pers (RAVE Residency), Luca Cerizza (art writer and curator), Andreas Kipar (landscape architect and founder of LAND), Emma Ursich (secretary general of The Human Safety Net) and many others.

The Contemporary at the Vigne Museum
During the summer months, the Vigne Museum becomes a stage for visual, sound and performance art to give the public an engaging and exciting experience in contact with nature. The programme is developed in collaboration with local organisations and festivals that investigate the frontiers of contemporary music. Each year, international musicians and performers tackle the exciting choreography offered by the Vigne Museum to create concerts combining improvisation and experimentation. Thanks to the collaboration with Simularte ‘More Than Jazz Udine Festival’, the following artists performed: Michele Rabbia, U.T. Gandhi and Martin Brandlmayr, Cathy Krier, Federico Casagrande and Carlo Laurenzi, Maria Pia De Vito and Anaïs Drago, Daniele di Bonaventura and many others. The collaboration with Ephemera Festival della Cultura Immateriale brought the most authoritative names on the world stage to Rosazzo, including Alvin Curran, Frances-Marie Uitti and Evan Parker.

Art in Circle
Art in Circle is the title of the activity promoted by the Vigne Musuem concerning the support of artistic research. The title echoes both the circular geometric shape with which the Vigne Museum was built and the idea of encouraging the production and dissemination of artistic research, starting from Rosazzo and expanding internationally. The artists’ contribution, through inspired and dedicated projects, contributes to social awareness in the environmental, natural and historical context that this open-air museum represents. To date, Giuseppe Stampone and Domenico Stinellis have collaborated, curated by RAVE East Village Artists Residency, on an exhibition of works and photographs installed on the hoops of the Vigne Museum.

Re-Generation
Regenerating values and knowledge for new generations, in line with Yona Friedman’s practices and ideas. The Vigne Museum is a point of reference for students and lecturers from local, national and international universities to hold workshops, residencies and seminars of an interdisciplinary nature. In addition, artists, professionals from various cultural and scientific fields, professionals and lecturers are invited to come together for research and in-depth study.
